Almond Cookies‎

CNY cookie recipes can be easy and fuss-free. These almond cookies are simple, fragrant with full of nutty flavour. It’s a perfect treat for Chinese New Year?!
Enjoy making them together with your family. Trust me, your family and friends will be impressed!
Remember to stock up on OKI oil before CNY?!!

Ingredients:

120ml OKI Premium Sunflower Oil
100g Icing Sugar
180g plain flour
120g ground almonds
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt

Cooking Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 180ºC.
2. Sieve icing sugar, plain flour, baking powder and baking soda into a large mixing bowl.
3. Add in ground almonds, salt and mix well.
4. Pour in OKI premium sunflower oil and knead until a dough is formed.
5. Portion out equally and roll the dough into a ball with your palms. Place on baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Repeat until the dough is used up.
6. Press flat, then egg-wash before placing whole almond piece on flat cookies.
7. Bake at 180ºC for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
8. Let the almond cookies cool before store in airtight container. Enjoy!!
