Easy Korean Dishes to Make at Home

Korean pop culture has been dominating international entertainment, fashion and even food! When it comes to Korean food, there is a lot more to indulge other than ginseng chicken soup, kimchi fried rice and army stew.  

Instead of going to a Korean restaurant to get your craving fix, why not just cook it on your own? After all, cooking is an experience in itself! 

Here are 6 of our favourite easy Korean recipes (all made with OKI!!) that you can make in your kitchen with step-by-step instructions and videos. Believe it or not, they’re pretty easy to make! Try them all!

1. Korean Fried Chicken

Korean fried chicken is super crunchy and yummy. It has a sticky sweet and spicy sauce!
In Korea, this fried chicken is a well-known appetizer or snack. It goes really well with the beer after a long day!

2. Tteokbokki

Tteokbokki, or spicy rice cakes, is one of the most popular street foods in Korea. They’re chewy, rich in umami, and highly addictive!
The combination of gochujang and red pepper powder makes up for a fiery sauce. Sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds on top for extra crunch and extra yum!

3. Dalgona Coffee

Dalgona coffee is a big hit in Korea and other countries because it’s easy to make with just few simple ingredients, instant coffee, sugar, water, ice, OKI Sweetened Beverage Creamer, and OKI Evaporated Creamer!
To make this frothy iced coffee, all you need to do is whip the instant coffee with sugar and water until a smooth foam. Then spoon the foam over the OKI milk mixture, and you’re done! Easy right?

4. Kimchi Pancake

No doubt!! Kimchi is one of the most loved Korean dishes these days. Did you know you can turn it into pancakes? The taste is awesome! Just serve with soy and vinegar dipping sauce for more wonderful taste!

5. Korean Garlic Cheese Bread

Take a bite of this fragrance and buttery Korean Garlic Bread and you’ll never want to go back to ordinary garlic bread again.

6. One Pan Egg Toast

The one-pan concept seems perfect for a quick morning breakfast. In Korea, many people like to add a layer of sweet fruit jam to their breakfast sandwiches. Of course, you can add any type of ingredients you like to your version of One Pan Egg Toast.
