Cholesterol is carried in the blood by “lipoproteins”. We often hear about LDL (Low Density Lipoprotein) and HDL (High Density Lipoprotein). Here’s a way to differentiate them. HDL transports cholesterol back to the liver for removal – GOOD. LDL transports cholesterol to other body tissues, leading to fatty deposits on artery walls – BAD. HIGH = GOOD, LOW = BAD.
